Don’t get me wrong tracking calories is a great way to achieve a deficit and teach someone about portion sizes. And we know a deficit is key.
I think education is key to helping people lose weight (and keep it off!). Supporting them through their struggles.
It’s why I’ve gotten into online coaching. It allows me to spend more time working with people outside of the gym – often where they need help the most.
If it was a case of putting someone on a shake diet, or setting them a calorie and step target then we wouldn’t have an issue with obesity, would we?
Support, Accountability, Guidance, Education are all key in my opinion.
SAGE if you will.
